About Me
I am a wife and a mother to three teenagers and a dog (Cleo, you'll see her around in pictures once in awhile. Please note, Cleo is an Australian Cobberdog - think purebred Labradoodle - and is hypoallergenic and non-shedding). Among many other activities and titles, quilter has always had a special place.

I started sewing at a young age, but didn't tackle my first quilt (1998) until I was a graduate student working on my master's in Chemical Oceanography. On the floor of the graduate dorm, I would lay out my pieces. It was a triple Irish Chain, queen size, flannel, double-batted, and tied. Go big or go home, right? There are not words to describe its seam-popping, monstrous grandeur. Okay, maybe a few.
Many years later, I was still quilting and making oodles of quilt tops. It became apparent, as my husband puts it, that my bottleneck was getting them quilted. In 2017, I became the proud owner of an Innova longarm. After several years and much practice, I am ready to help others complete their own projects.

Some people love to piece, some love to quilt. I love both. I love putting all the little pieces together to create the overall picture and I love the life that quilting gives it. (Confession though, I do not like binding and I will always try to twist my mom's arm into binding my personal quilts.)
